The Winning Tape is really pleased to welcome CalMac to the Team Scotland family. It’s been great working with Peter Griffiths on this partnership supporting Team Scotland and The King’s Baton Relay.
CalMac will be playing a part in one of Scotland’s biggest sporting celebrations this summer, helping carry the King’s Baton to island communities as part of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
From 1s to 23rd July, the Baton Relay will travel across Scotland, connecting communities, festivals and events ahead of the Games’ opening ceremony. As part of that journey, CalMac will help transport the baton to Bute, Mull, Lewis and Harris, ensuring the islands are fully involved in this nationwide celebration.
A special highlight will see the King’s Baton travel aboard MV Loch Seaforth from Ullapool to Stornoway as the world-famous HebCelt Festival gets underway. To mark the occasion, the vessel will be temporarily rebranded as the HebCelt Ferry, celebrating both Scotland’s rich cultural heritage and one of the country’s largest music festivals.

The relay also coincides with the launch CalMac’s new Where Next? campaign, encouraging residents and visitors alike to explore Scotland’s islands and discover new adventures.
