Scotland’s leading sports injury and rehabilitation centre, Hampden Sports Clinic, has today been announced as an official sport medical and physio supplier for the World Athletics Indoor Championships Glasgow 24, taking place from 1-3 March this year.

Marking the first time the event has been held in Scotland, the World Indoor Athletics Championships Glasgow is one of the biggest and highest profile sports events to be held in the country and will see the arrival of over 700 athletes as they prepare to compete in 26 events over three days of intense competition.

Falling within the qualification period for the Paris 2024 Olympics, athletes will aim to be in perfect condition as they battle for gold in front of the passionate Glasgow crowd and this will be supported by the work of Hampden Sports Clinic, who will maintain a presence at the Emirates Arena, in addition to the training venues and athlete hotels.

Hampden Sports Clinics specialise in providing a number of services including physiotherapy, sports massage, podiatry and sports medicine, with staff supporting athletes during the event.

Known for their specialist care and treatment within the sporting world, the organisation has worked with event organisers of the Olympic Games and Commonwealth Games in recent years and will now be able to offer their experience to the World Athletics Indoor Championships ahead of the competition beginning on 1 March this year.
