Bankside Open Spaces Trust Partnership with Marlborough Sports Garden

Delighted to be at the official opening of the News UK football pitch at The Bankside Marlborough Sports Garden with talkSPORT legends Drivetime’s Darren Bent and Andy Goldstein, the youngsters from St Joseph’s School and the Bankside Open Spaces Trust to celebrate this partnership with Marlborough Sports Garden.

I am really pleased to have being able to bring this important social impact partnership together and to have played the role of MC yesterday with our legendary sporting celebrity guests.

To officially mark the occasion, News UK’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Daisy Dunlop and legendary talkSPORT presenters Andy Goldstein and Darren Bent had the honour of cutting the ribbon on the newly re-branded News UK football pitches.

Also present were Bankside Open Spaces Trust representatives, including Chair Tim Wood and Head of Sport and Development, Jack Harrison.

This celebration marks the start of the three-year partnership News UK announced in June to help transform this vital community sports hub.

My thanks to Lorna, Daisy and all the great teams at News UK and talkSPORT.
